Continuous improvement of product quality
Product quality is one of the company’s strategic competitive advantages.
The program of continuous improvement of product quality of JV LLC Tashkent Pipe Plant named after V.L. Galperin, hereinafter – “TTZ”, includes clear key performance indicators – KPIs.
In order to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of activities to improve the level of “internal” quality, the following KPIs are used:
- the level of nonconforming products in tons,
- FTT (first time through). This is an indicator to estimate the volume of products manufactured at the first attempt and did not require additional refinement outside the production process as a percentage.
In order to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of activities to improve the level of “external” quality, the following KPIs are used:
- the level of conformity of product quality to customer expectations;
- the level of losses incurred by the company from consumer claims.
All the achieved KPI indicators for quality are regularly reviewed at meetings with the director, where, if necessary, either corrective measures are taken or a strategy for introducing changes is developed to unconditionally achieve the set performance indicators.
