JV LLC “V.L. Galperin Tashkent Pipe Plant”
(hereinafter referred to as the Enterprise) constantly strives for the rational use of natural resources, monitors compliance with the requirements of environmental legislation, and carries out continuous work to improve environmental indicators.
The environmental protection activities of the enterprise are based on systematic monitoring of environmental indicators and are aimed at minimizing environmental impact. Special attention is paid to assessing and reducing environmental risks. All implemented and ongoing projects for the modernization of production provide for the use of advanced technologies and modern environmental equipment.
The enterprise establishes a close dialogue with the population living near the enterprise, which allows for prompt response to residents’ concerns about environmental issues.
Enterprise environmentalists annually conduct risk identification and assessment, analyze risk events in the field of environmental protection, and develop measures to minimize them, in accordance with the environmental management system, the International Standard ISO 14001:2015 / O,z DSt ISO 14001:2019, and in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Atmospheric air protection
The enterprise is aware of its environmental impact related to the emission of pollutants into the atmospheric air as a result of production processes, as well as the need to reduce the volumes and mass of emissions.
Emissions are regularly measured by own and specialized laboratories accredited in the state system, as well as emission indicators are calculated using methods established by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In January of this year, the analytical laboratory of the Tashkent Regional Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change took samples of atmospheric air in the zone of influence of the enterprise. Based on the conducted laboratory measurements/tests of the selected samples, their compliance with the PDV standard was established. Measurement/Testing protocols No. 1 and No. 2 dated 20.01.2025 are attached below.
Use of water resources
The technological processes of production involve the use of technical water. Emphasizing strict compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of water resources protection, the Enterprise strives to use them rationally and minimize costs.
The main sources of water for the Enterprise are groundwater, as well as water provided by third parties on the basis of contractual relations with the city water utility. The enterprise takes only artesian water and does not take water from open reservoirs. The enterprise widely uses a circulating water supply system with the return of purified technical water to the production process for reuse.
Waste management
The enterprise is taking all necessary measures to reduce the volume of formation and improve waste management methods. In matters of safe waste management, the Company is guided by the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan. When concluding contracts with third-party organizations for construction, repair, and other works on the enterprise’s territory, the ownership rights and responsibilities for waste generated as a result of the contractor’s activities must be defined.
